Google Nest Hub, Control Your Smart Home From One Device.

Google Nest Hub, Control Your Smart Home From One Device.
To celebrate The Google Nest Hub being £40 off on Mr Central Heating at the moment we thought we’d tell you a little bit about it. It’s the bigger brother of Google’s other smart devices such as Google Assistant and the Google Home Mini (available for free now with any purchase of Baxi 600 series boiler). However, it does much more than play music and show you photos or YouTube videos. With the right gadgets it can be a nerve centre for your smart home devices too. The Nest Hub's "Home View" feature is a smart display and touchscreen that can dim, turn off or change the colour of connected lights and link your speakers with easy access. It lets you see which lights are on, who is ringing the doorbell and the thermostat temperature, without having to open the individual apps for each device, or even move more than a finger. Other Google Nest products (available here) automatically work within the Nest Hub for a simple set up. There is an option within the hub to “view rooms" and the smart devices that are connected within them and off you go! You can operate it from your smartphone too, including Samsung, Apple iPhone and Android devices such as the Google Pixel.

Control Smart Lighting via the Google Nest Hub

Once your smart lights are linked to the hub you can turn them on or off and set how bright you want them. You can do this individually, or all together. Got in to bed and forgot to turn the living room lights off? No problem. Want the kids to stop playing and go to sleep? Easy. The possibilities are endless. By adding colour changing gadgets you can also feel like you’re living in a spaceship or spa – whatever you fancy.

Thermostats

One of the greatest things that you can do with this device is the thermostat settings. Google Nest makes it super easy for you (and you only, if you wish) to be in control of the temperature in your house. A thinner, sleeker design. A bigger, sharper display. And hot water control. The Nest Thermostat gets to know the temperature you like when you’re at home and turns itself down when you’re away. So, it saves energy. That’s the most beautiful part. And maybe your sanity, if you have an issue with family members messing with it when you’re not looking. Nest will learn your favourite temperature and reach it naturally so it’s even less effort on your end. One less thing to worry about.

Nest Doorbell & Security Camera

The Nest doorbell adds an extra level of security to your home or in its simplest form, allows you to see who is out there and avoid the people you don’t want to talk to. When the doorbell is rung, a live feed from the door is transferred to the Nest Hub. From there you can speak to the person yourself or ask Google to tell them to leave. The days of looking through the peephole or hiding at the window are over with the Nest Cam's simple security camera and video doorbell combo. You can also pair this with Nest Aware. On top of the smart home capability, the Google Nest Hub does all the cool things that other smart speakers do. It connects via your wi-fi network to Spotify, YouTube music, Google Play, or any other audio apps so that you can blast your favourite tunes with a simple command. Set it up so first thing in the morning it can tell you the weather, the fastest route to work and any appointments you might have that day. Use it to make video calls, watch tv shows or sports when you’ve been relegated to the kitchen whilst your family watch Love Island. Ask it to teach you how to order beer in Spanish for your holiday, display pictures thanks to Google photos after the holiday. The options are endless. Each of these individual things are a great addition to your life, but they’re much better together. All controlled by the Google Nest Hub,  also available in Chalk colour - bring your home into 2019 with a bang.
