Introducing Super Power Engineering Liquids and Adhesives

When it comes to plumbing and heating, professionals are always looking at the latest products to see if they can help speed up plumbing jobs, or even help tackle hard jobs in a more cost-effective fashion. The good news is that there is a new range of plumbing, engineering liquids and adhesives in the market and available at Mr Central Heating that are designed for a range of plumbing jobs which accomplish these very issues. One issue that heating engineers need to deal with is with leak detection issues and finding small leaks in a gas central heating system can be difficult. Super Power has a leak detection fluid that can provide a number of advantages for identifying leaks, both quickly and safely. Existing fluids can make it difficult to identify a leak’s source, but Super Power’s Leak Detection Fluid is designed to improve this and bubbles up specifically where the leak occurs. In addition to this, the fluid itself is non-toxic so is perfect for use in confined spaces. For gas central heating engineers this particular leak detection fluid can be a great addition to the tool box. Other issues that need to be tackled by both plumbers and engineers is ensuring that plumbing connections are made securely. In most applications this is relatively straight forward, but in refrigeration and industrial situations where vibration occurs then a secure fit and seal can be more difficult to achieve. Super Power’s Thread and Compression Bonding fluid has been designed with precisely this issue in mind. This fluid can be used on a range of different materials including: threaded galvanised steel, iron, brass, and copper, Other materials that Super Power’s Thread and Compression Bonding fluid can be used on include aluminium, stainless steel, polyethylene, fibreglass and even PVC. For plumbers and engineers looking for a thread and compression bonding fluid to tackle positive lock and seals on threaded fasteners then we recommend Super Power’s products for these particular jobs. Copper bonding is another task that plumbing and central heating engineers need to carry out on a regular basis. Generally, this involves flame, flux and solder to accomplish this task. This is not always appropriate in every situation and in some cases it is advisable to avoid flame such as when working with gas or in situations where surrounding materials need to be protected from burn damage, such as floors and walls.  In addition to that, the Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC) is calling for the plumbing and heating industry to boycott lead solder as APHC’s CEO John Thompson notes that “lead-free alternatives can easily be used in joining copper pipes on all plumbing and heating works.” Also, the time it takes to carry out this job by traditional methods is quite long, but there is a solution from Super Power that can tackle this task without the application of flame and speed up the process. Super Power’s Solderless Copper Bonding fluid has been designed to eliminate the risk of gas explosions and accidental damage from blowtorches and also to help speed up the joining and bonding process. Super Power’s Solderless Copper Bonding solution can work in just 60 seconds and provides a structural bond in just five minutes. This fluid also complies with The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 and the small 50mm bottle can make up to 200 welds (based on 15mm pipe). For plumbers and engineering looking to improve the workflow and end results when tackling some of the most common jobs that they come across when they are working then Super Power’s engineering liquids and adhesives work well and are cost effective.
