Vaillant Pro 28 - Review - Mr Central Heating

Mr Central Heating reviews the Vaillant Pro 28 Combination Boiler

[caption id="attachment_2584" align="alignleft" width="150"]Vaillant Pro 28 Vaillant Pro 28 Combi[/caption] Boilers are our thing and competitive reliable products are the main stays for Mr Central Heating. The Vaillant Pro 28 is one of these and provides a really good cost effective boiler replacement or new install for a large flat or three bedroom house. It is ideal for landlords and homeowners looking to get a top brand with great tried and tested technology and back up service from the leading manufacturer in the UK.

So what is it that makes the Vaillant Pro 28 Combination boiler good.

Firstly it is small and at only 37kg it is great boiler for any plumber to handle. The dimensions and specification are below. It also has a flow rate of 11.1 litres per minute which is good enough for a family of four with one bathroom and gives a really good shower. If you are interested in efficiency then it is over 89% and has a new ErP pump fitted as standard which actually saves you money over the course of a year by using less electricity.
  • Boiler Height: 720mm
  • Boiler Width: 440mm
  • Depth: 338mm
This is all great and the Vaillant pedigree is definitely one that is trusted and liked by lots of tradesman but the things that just take it over the line is the five year warranty and the fact that it is under £1000. So it is an affordable boiler in the Vaillant range and it does lose some of the features in the Plus range but you are possibly not going to miss them if you look after the boiler. With all boilers you need to get them serviced regularly and if you follow the correct installation procedures and look after the boiler it will definitely last well over ten years which is an average boilers life. There are a few other draw backs like the lack of a control cover or bottom flap to conceal the clock and LCD and it does not come with a built in filler loop. The Vaillant Pro 28 boiler does fit Mr Central Heating’s checklist and actually was really introduced into the market by us in the early days and is a pound for pound good boiler at a good price. It may not be the best looker but if you are on a budget and want a powerful combi then it is the boiler for you.
