A 400 high x 3000 long K1 single panel single convector compact radiator is a type of heating appliance designed to heat a room efficiently.

A compact radiator is the most common type of radiator used in central heating systems to distribute heat throughout a building.

Panels and Convectors: Compact radiators feature one or more panels (flat surfaces) and convectors (corrugated surfaces).

K1: This refers to the type and configuration of the radiator. "K1" means it has a single heating panel and a single convector. The convector is a piece of metal that increases the surface area of the radiator, helping it to emit more heat.

Enhanced Heat Output: Compact radiators are designed to provide high heat output. The use of panels and convectors helps in maximizing heat transfer.

Energy Efficiency: Modern compact radiators are designed to be energy efficient, helping to reduce heating costs while maintaining a comfortable indoor environment.

Versatility: They can be installed in various settings, including homes, offices, and commercial spaces. The extensive range of sizes make them especially ideal for rooms, such as bathrooms, hallways, and kitchens.

Compact radiators are commonly used in residential and commercial buildings where efficient use of space and effective heating are important considerations. With a huge range of sizes, they are particularly useful in rooms where traditional, larger radiators would be impractical or take up too much space.

Customer Questions
Looking for black radiators, heard they never give out as much heat as the standard white ones, is this true?

To some extent, yes. Painted radiators do give out a little less heat compared to standard white radiators but the difference is minor. It will not impact the radiators ability to produce heat and heat a whole room. However, all of our colours are done by using a powder coating and so the colour makes no difference to the heat output. If you are considering painting a rad yourself, please not the more layers of heat resistant paint you add, the great the impact on performance.

What is the difference between K1, P+ and K2 Compact Radiators?

There are 4 types of Compact Radiator available at Mr Central Heating. Single Panel, Single Convector • Sometimes referred to as K1, Single Premium or Type 11 radiators. Double Panel, Single Convector • Also known as P+, Double Premium or Type 21 radiators. Double Panel, Double Convector • Double Panel, Double Convector radiators are also referred to as K2, Double Deluxe or Type 22 radiators. Triple Panel, Triple Convector • These are also known as K3, Triple Deluxe or Type 33 radiators The Panel is the front, ribbed facing of the radiator where the water channels are. The Convector is the part behind the panel, or between the panels that is the sheet metal zig zaging which helps draw the cold air up from below, heating it as it rises. How can I work out which size radiators I need? Our BTU Calculator tool will help you identify suitable radiators for the specific room(s) in question. As a guide, in our experience we’ve found the typical room size of the average 3 bedroomed house requires the following radiator sizes: Lounge = 1400 x 600 K2 Dining room = 1200 x 600 K2 Kitchen = 900 x 600 p+ Bedroom 1 = 1400 x 600 K1 Bedroom 2 = 1200 x 600 K1 Bedroom 3 = 900 x 600 P+ Bathroom = 600 x 600 P+
