Expansion Vessels

Expansion vessels (also known as expansion tanks) are installed on sealed systems to allow for the 4% expansion in water as the system heats up and therefore protect from excessive pressure. The tank is partially filled with air which absorbs excess water pressure caused by thermal expansion. Here at Mr Central Heating we stock the high quality Imera expansion vessels, red heating vessels suitable for sealed heating systems, blue potable vessels for use with unvented water heaters, a small white multifunction vessel for heating systems or domestic hot water and a 162ml shock arrestor to prevent water hammer.
